A practical two-source workflow

Context

Why the county case and state history can differ

A county court file follows a specific prosecution. It can show the case that was filed in Seminole County and the court activity attached to that case. A statewide criminal-history product is organized around the state repository instead of one clerk file, so the search method and result format are different.

When a result matters for a decision, record which source you used and the date you checked it. A matching name in one source should not be silently treated as proof that every record in another system belongs to the same person.

A “no result” is source-specific
No result in a county court search means only that the particular search did not return a matching county case. It should not be converted into a blanket statement that no Florida criminal-history information exists.
